Is PUBG ban good or bad

PUBG Ban In India : Was It Necessary ?

Pubg

PUBG is a first person strategic multiplayer shooting game in which players can play solo or make a squad consisting of 4 players and compete against other players in the world. The one who survives till the end wins the match and gets a chickenπŸ” dinner. PUBG was recently banned in India along with other 118 chinese apps. This ban was done to prevent money contributed to China by these apps used in India. In light of the India-China war, all chinese apps were banned including Tik-Tok, shareit, xender, etc. PUBG is not a Chinese game but is sponsored by a chinese company called 'Tencent'. India is among top 5 countries to have largest PUBG players. By banning these 118 apps, a major revenue to China was cut off. Banning PUBG has both upsides and downsides. There are other games like PUBG but they don't have that much graphics and various fight skills present in PUBG. Different types of Maps, guns and modes provided wonderful experience to players. If one gets bored by playing a mode, he can try another one and can choose another map for a change.

Upsides Of PUBG Ban

PUBG is a very addictive game which is played by both children and adults. This game is so addictive that children and students are giving less attention to studies and effect of this game can be seen in their academic part. This game has also affected many children mentally also. Children become violent and involve themselves into the game so much that they forget their surrounding. Some children become so serious into the game that they start spending money into the game for in app purchases without knowledge of their parents. There was a case where, a child spend 16 lakh rupees from his father's bank account without knowledge of his parents. This money was saved for his studies by his parents. After his parents came to know this incident they made him to work at a mechanical shop. Similarly there is another case where a child spend 2 lakh rupees from his grandfather's pension. Children spend money in the game to level up faster and buy new dress and weapon skins. For instance my own cousin brother started spending money in this game to buy royal passes. We both started the game for playing for fun but slowly slowly he started becoming addicted to this game so much that he started spending money for in app purchases. I warned him many times not to waste money on these games as they are only for fun but the thing is that I can't force him because he is also an adult and has grown much to decide and take decisions on his own. Once this game is started playing then their will be very less time remained for other works. Believe me, I had also played this game very much and yes I was addicted too. Thanks to my cousin sisters and parents who forced me to stop playing this game. When I played this game I would feel like time is running. I never got time for other works at home. I wake up in the morning, eat breakfast and start playing PUBG till evening then I take snack rest and then once more start playing. On this way I couldn't notice my other important things related to home and college studies. But after I stopped this game, I feel like I have a lot of time to do other things and I feel really well both mentally and physically.

Downsides Of PUBG Ban

PUBG has brought a great revolution in case of smartphone prices. Before PUBG was introduced, gaming smartphones with powerful processor were available at high prices. Some of the high processors available at high price smartphones couldn't even run the game smoothly. I had a Sony Xperia Z3 smartphone which had Snapdragon 801 chipset and when it was buyed, it was a powerful device which could run any games smoothly and had a brilliant 20MP camera which could capture both portrait and micro elements very clearly. But after this PUBG game was introduced, my device was not able to cop up with its specifications. After arrival of this game, smartphone companies like Redmi and Realme started manufacturing low budget smartphones which could run PUBG smoothly. Redmi introduced its Note series and its first low budget model which could run PUBG smoothly was Redmi Note 5 Pro. This model had Snapdragon 636 chipset with 4gb of ram. It also had 20MP front camera as well as 16MP dual back camera. This smartphone was the first low budget smartphone with powerful processor and GPU. After that Oppo also started revealing its low budget powerful phones under Realme. Before PUBG you had to spend above 20k to buy a good smartphone with powerful processor and camera. But now a days you will not only get powerful processor and quad camera but also a fast charging ability under 15k only. Now a days every smartphones are manufactured in such a way that it could have minimum specs which can run PUBG smoothly. You can play PUBG even in smartphones under 10k smoothly. Just imagine what if PUBG was not there. Then we would have been using phones which may have quad cam but with low end processor. Banning of PUBG will also affect many YouTube streamers who earned their livelihood by live streaming this game in YouTube. This ban will become a large burden for them. Also this ban of this game will affect many children mentally. After this ban, there was some news related to suicide by child who was not able to play PUBG.

Conclusion:

PUBG has become a necessary evil which has affected many lives directly or indirectly. According to me, whether ban of PUBG takes place or not every one should be ready to tolerate the consequences in both the cases. If PUBG ban remains, then children and adults should accept the reality and move on. If children shows mental instability problems then parents should immediately take them for counselling. If PUBG ban is cancelled then parents should strictly limit use of smartphones by their children. Under 12 children should be strictly avoided from playing this game. And lastly adults who spend money in this game should keep one thing in mind that this is just a game, and you can play this game even without spending any money. Try to save that money and buy something which will be useful to you in reality. If you have much money then donate it to needy ones and in orphanage and old age homes instead of wasting in this game. This would provide a day meal to someone.
